Visiology, Inc., was founded in Chicago
by Todd H. Lowe in 1982 to provide telecommunication companies with a cost effective
way to prepare strategic and operational business plans. Since 1990, the primary
focus of Visiology has been assisting local and long distance telecommunication companies with telecommunications consulting, application preparation and licensing services, tariff filings, customer base transfers, mergers, acquisition, and due diligence.
Visiology currently
employs
four full time consultants with more than fifty years of telecommunications experience.
Todd Lowe, Barbara Lowe, and Bobbi Ferguson primarily out of the Lake Tuscaloosa
office and Sherle Adams is in the Birmingham office. Each consultant brings a unique
set of skills to the organization enabling the company to offer a wide range of services
to clients. Each Consultant accepts individual as well as team projects.
Todd H. Lowe, President, started working in the telecommunications
industry when
he accepted a consulting assignment to develop and install a business planning model
to forecast sales, revenue, and operating expenses for a reseller that was doubling
in size every quarter. At the conclusion of the project, Todd was recruited by the
client, Allnet Communications Services, to direct their MIS organization. In 1984,
he was appointed Vice President MIS.
Since returning to consulting in 1986,
Todd has developed business plans for an interexchange carrier and a reseller, has
completed various consulting and operations projects for an AT&T Tariff 12 reseller,
and has worked with several resellers and aggregators on state certification. Clients
outside the telecommunications industry include a metals conglomerate, a manufacturer
of electronic components, and an electronics assembly firm.
Todd is an
experienced
line and staff manager in multiple disciplines. He has managed rapid growth situations,
P & L turn arounds, and has a record of resolving production and inventory problems.
Prior to joining Allnet Communication Services, Todd spent seventeen years with U.S.
Steel in various general management, production, inventory, and material management
positions. Todd received his MBA from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in
1979.
Barbara L. Lowe is Vice President of Visiology. Specializing
in the field of telecommunications,
her clients include aggregators, switchless resellers, an interexchange carrier,
a LEC, as well as clients from other industries.
While working with
telecommunications
clients, her activities have included preparation of strategic and operational business
plans, setting up and managing a beta test site for an AT&T Tariff 12 reseller,
and the preparation of petitions and tariffs for submission to state commissions
and the FCC.
Barbara has spent over twenty years working in the
telecommunications
industry including four years at Allnet Communication Services during its start-up
years. She held positions of Director - Strategic Planning, Executive Director -
Customer Service and Telemarketing, Executive Director - Engineering, and Vice President
- Administration. Before Allnet, Barbara spent thirteen years with the Bell System
serving in a variety of capacities with AT&T and South Central Bell. Barbara
received her M.B.A. from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1979.
Bobbi Ferguson is Senior Regulatory Analyst for Visiology, Inc.
specializing in
certification and compliance issues. With over sixteen years telecommunications
experience, Bobbi has extensive experience in certification proceedings, tariff
publication,regulatory
compliance, and as an expert witness. While working with telecommunications clients, her activities have included functioning as Director of Regulatory matters, the preparation of petitions and tariffs for submission to state commissions and the FCC; development of company documents such as letters of agency, witness preparation, conducting regulatory compliance and report training, and representing or assisting companies with state commission show cause proceedings.
Prior to joining Visiology, Bobbi was
Regulatory
Analyst for WilTel, Inc. Her responsibilities included tariff development and publication,
expert and policy witness, regulatory and legal complaints, evaluation and revision
of contracts, state certification proceedings, and regulatory, financial, and compliance
reporting at both the federal and state level.
Bobbi also served as Tariff
Administrator - Regulatory Affairs Department for MCI Telecommunications where she
handled regulatory matters for fourteen states in MCI's West Division. Her responsibilities
included state tariff publication, cost support, expert witness testimony, competitive/LEC
analysis, regulatory and legal complaints, compliance filings, and certification
proceedings. She also represented the company at various industry/PUC forums on issues
such as 1+ intraLATA presubscription, Open Network Architecture, and relaxed regulation
for IXCs. Bobbi received her B.A. from the University of Delaware.
Sherle Adams is a nationally known sales trainer. Sherle has been in fields
related
to sales training and business communications for over 40 years. She has appeared
on national TV in both Canada and the US to discuss her provocative ideas about what
happens when people talk to each other.
Sherle has traveled over 100,000 miles
a years as a consultant and speaker. She's had a star-studded list of clients including
General Motors, General Mills, and even General Eisenhower. She's worked with U.S.
Steel, U.S. Gypsum and the U.S. Government. She's done work for more than twenty
of the country's leading direct sales companies and has helped train people to sell
almost every product or service you can name. In what she calls her "lucky"
career, she's headed a psychological counseling and testing organization, an audio-visual
company, and as a trainer and motivator has developed outstanding innovative programs
for face to face, door-to-door, over the counter, distributor, retail and executive
board room presentations.
Currently, Sherle's major interest is encouraging
more people to take advantage of direct sales opportunities and in developing materials
for direct sales companies that will aid recruiting, improve retention, and assist
in personal enrichment.
